Hot Toys Drops 1/6th Vintage Darth Vader and Boba Fett Figures
Celebrating ‘The Empire Strikes Back’s 40th anniversary.

On Star Wars Day, Hot Toys celebrated the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back with the announcement of two retro-styled figures of the franchise’s most haunting helmeted figures: Darth Vader and Boba Fett.
Both coming in vintage packaging harkening back to those of the Kenner era, the two collectibles each come in a 1/6th scale and boast more than 30 points of articulation. Standing 30cm tall, Boba Fett is dressed in his original ’80s colors and comes equipped with his signature blaster rifle, a pistol, the iconinc jetpack which can be secured via a magnet, and a branded display base. Four pairs of hands and fists also allow you to swap between various gestures.
As to the dark lord himself, Vader stands slightly taller at a menacing 35cm, with a removable helmet that reveals his mechanical components on his head as well as a battle-scarred scalp on the rear. Of course, he also comes with his red lightsaber, utility belt, an LED-lit chest panel, as well as a Cloud City-themed display base.
Both figures are now available for pre-orders over at Sideshow Collectibles, with prices ranging from $255 USD for the bounty hunter and $285 USD for the Sith lord. Delivery is expected between July and September this year.
For more collectibles, DDT is celebrating 50 years of Doraemon with a “Comic Time” bronze sculpture.
