Converse Brings Tri-Color Paneling to the Chuck 70 Renew Hi & Ox
Simultaneously stylish and sustainable.
Converse‘s Renew Line uses upcycled materials to create sustainable takes on classic lifestyle sneakers, and its latest products are two tri-colored iterations of the beloved Chuck 70. Both the Chuck 70 Hi and Chuck 70 Ox are present, and each uses a trifecta of organically-built shades crafted from recycled factory scraps for a look that’s simultaneously stylish and sustainable.

Colorblocking is done in three distinctive parts on each makeup: the lateral side takes on one shade, the medial side another and the throat/heel overlay a third and final hue. On the Chuck 70 Hi, this combination is presented in sandy tan, burnished orange and vintage purple. A signature star badge also appears on the lateral collar. The Chuck 70 Ox’s shades are pastel-esque, mixing baby blue, natural ivory and soft springtime pink.
This combo of natural materials provides an appealing washed-in look, and is brought together on both shoes by soft ivory fabric toe caps that replace the standard rubber iteration, silver eyelets, ivory midsoles with special Renew badges and brown recycled rubber outsoles.
The Converse Chuck 70 Renew Hi and Ox will release at retailers like Asphalt Gold on May 15. The Hi is priced at $95 USD, and the Ox at $90 USD.
