Awake NY Reveals Full SS20 Collection
Including a collaboration with Sam Friedman.
After beginning the year with collaborative releases alongside Carhartt WIP and Reebok, Awake NY has now presented its full Spring/Summer 2020 collection. The collection features a number of signature Awake NY pieces and designs, such as its classic logo hoodies and T-shirts, alongside a selection of more eye-catching items.
A stand-out theme throughout the collection is Awake NY’s collaboration with artist Sam Friedman, which includes a silk camp shirt and 5-panel camp cap bearing original artwork. Elsewhere, key pieces in the collection also include a colorful mohair cardigan, the Embroidered Roses flannel shirt and the cordoury chenille patch baseball jacket.
As well as the signature logo pieces, the Angelo Baque-led label also presents a range of other graphic pieces. Stand-out prints from the SS20 collection range include political slogans such as “in God we trust, in the President we don’t” as well as a quote from Nelson Mandela and the “civilizing the uncivilized” pieces.
Take a look through the SS20 lookbook from Awake NY in the gallery above. The collection will launch via the Awake NY web store and Dover Street Market’s site on May 19 at 11 a.m. EDT. Dover Street Market Ginza will also release on May 22. Lastly, SSENSE will release the collection on May 26.
