GOLF WANG and Levi's Create Polka Dot Capsule for 501 Day
Based on the slouchier ‘93 jean.
GOLF WANG label has unveiled a collaboration with Levi’s to celebrate this year’s 501 Day, marking the anniversary of the jean’s introduction in 1873. For the 2020 501 Day, Tyler has put his twist on the iconic piece through the introduction of a colorful polka dot pattern on an ecru denim base.
As well as covering the classic 501 ‘93 jeans, the rainbow print polka dot pattern also features on a vintage fit Trucker jacket. The ‘93 jean features a boxier, higher waist fit than other 501 cuts, although it has the same straight-leg cut, giving it the baggier style chosen by Tyler. This slouchier style is also referenced through a sizing patch that showcases both the Levi’s and GOLF sizing of the pieces. Finishing off the design is a GOLF WANG logo — complete with heart and flower — on the back pocket.

The GOLF WANG x Levi’s collection will release via the Levi’s and GOLF web stores on May 20, before arriving in the UK on May 25.
This collaboration is the latest special-release 501 from Levi’s, following on from the recent Japanese jean.
