Valee Gets Immortalized in Eerie Animations for "Jaywalking"
Artful renderings by LONEWOLF.
Valee has unveiled new visuals for “Jaywalking,” a brand new track that shines a light on the rapper’s distinctive flow. Unveiled just yesterday, the song follows “Not Playin” from back in January, which also highlighted the rapper’s lyrical and rhythmic prowess.
Valee decided to keep “Jaywalking” short and sweet, opting to focus entirely on one verse while stripping away unnecessary refrains. The song clocks in at a little under the one-minute mark and features a nocturnal midtempo beat that’s laced with splashes of sinister synths and xylophones over pounding 808s — courtesy of producer CHASETHEMONEY.
The Chicago-native comes through with a set of clever bars like “Turn my brights on so I could see who crossin’ me, n*gga, y’all the ones jaywalkin’ / Jordan 12s on my feet in a size 9, n*gga, that’s how I’m jaywalkin’” and “Hit my motor from, I had my lil’ way, I was speedin’ in that bitch, know this is shiftin’ / Snatch out too quick in the coupe, I think I fucked it all up, not the transmission.”
To accompany the content of the song, the rapper had LONEWOLF design a set of artful visuals, made up of dark sketches and blotchy watercolors for an eerie look and feel.
