Trey Songz Drops Quarantine Visuals for New "Back Home" Single With Summer Walker
Highlighting how he and his loved ones are handling quarantine.
Trey Songz has released a new single, titled “Back Home,” featuring Summer Walker. The singer released at-home quarantine visuals to accompany the track, showing off his son Noah and compiling clips of his own life and those of his loved ones.
The track details a complicated relationship, one that moves between happiness and pain. “Why are you so hard to leave?/Why are you so hard to believe?” Summer Walker sings. “Can’t you make it easy for me?/I complicate in my brain.” Trey Songz follows up in the chorus with “If it isn’t love, why I keep coming back/I keep coming back, back home.” The song comes a few days after Trey released his Anticipation I and Anticipation II mixtapes on all streaming platforms for those staying at home during this time.
Whether they’re working out, cooking, dancing or celebrating a birthday, the music video for “Back Home” showcases how Trey’s friends and family are handling quarantine. “One thing that’s certain is that we are right now in times that none of us have ever experienced,” Trey wrote on Instagram. “I thought it would be special to put together a time capsule of both my intimate and extended family living through what we would have never imagined.”
