NEEDLES' Ghillie Sneakers Receive Lively Paint Splatters Over Bold New Colorways
Embracing asymmetry.

NEEDLES has returned with three new colorways of its Ghillie Sneakers from its eclectic Spring/Summer 2020 collection. Embracing richly dyed colorways of white, khaki and olive, each shoe has been embellished with a flurry of lively paint splatters. This follows a purple iteration unveiled back in November.
Though it may not seem apparent at first glance, each pair of Ghillies comes with an asymmetrical design. Starting at the top of the silhouette, the right foot comes with exposed stitches at the tip of the tongue, complemented by a reinforced one on the left. The left foot also comes with additional top-stitching at the heel counter, while the right only sees a reinforced backstay. Finally, the toecaps differ, too: the right side boasts standard foxing whereas the left sees a protective rubber layer that climbs over the foxing and ends just before covering the entire toebox. For consistency, both feet come with a pair of silver-toned eyelets at the top and suede eyelet panels along the sidewalls.
NEEDLES’ Ghillie Sneakers in white, khaki and olive are currently available at SSENSE’s website for $465 USD.
