Converse Japan Honors National Flag With All Star Hinomaru Hi
Coming with a vintage “US ORIGINATOR” midsole.
Converse Japan is back with a brand new pair of sneakers from its expansive Spring/Summer 2020 lineup. Taking shape in the form of an All Star Chuck Taylor, the new design honors Japan’s national flag with a bold red circle against a crisp white foundation.
To offset the clean white canvas uppers, the shoe comes with contrasting cream-colored accents: laces, rubber toecap and midsole. One defining highlight of the shoe is the aforementioned red circle, appearing only at the lateral sides — Converse’s classic All-Star logo is placed at the medial sides. Complementing this is a thick ivory-toned woven backstay, while metallic eyelets cover the forefoot. All of these features rest over a vintage ecru-toned “US Originator” midsole, outlined by thin black foxing and an All-Star bumper logo.
The Converse Japan All Star Hinomaru Hi is currently available at Converse Japan’s website for $76 USD.
