'Call of Duty: Warzone' Introduces Four-Player "Quads" Mode in Season 3
‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’ also gets three new multiplayer maps.
Activision released a new trailer for season 3 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and its free-to-play counterpart Call of Duty: Warzone. The new season will introduce three new maps to Modern Warfare while Warzone will focus on a new four-player squad mode called Quads, alongside new weapons and skins.
The update will also revamp the loot pool and the new Scopes and Scatter Guns mode. Loot will continue to change throughout a match, according to an Activision blog post. “Of note, expect to see every weapon type with a silenced and non-silenced variant, allowing squads to kit themselves for silent operations…” or a more aggressive approach.
Modern Warfare will see three new 6v6 multiplayer maps, including an updated version of the Backlot map from the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. There is also a condensed version of Aniyah Place from the title’s Ground War mode.
This season will see further content updates alongside its new Battle Pass, including new maps, new operators Ronin and Iskra, weapon and gunsmith customs, and more.
In other gaming news, 100 Thieves dropped an entire apparel collection on Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
