Groom With WTAPS' New Grease Pomade & Duck Tail Pocket Comb
For everyday styling.
Following WTAPS‘ transparent coin bank released last May, the Japanese label has unveiled brand new accessories from its SS20 lineup. This time around, WTAPS has delivrered a set of grooming goods: a grease pomade and duck tail pocket comb.
The former comes in a minimal orange package, with a short screw-top opening. Bold “WTAPS” branding is stamped at the front above the label “GREASE,” and it stores 210 grams of pomade that has a gentle texture. It does, however, have some firmness to it as well, due to its aqueous resin, and it has a premium glossy finish for a clean, tidy look. The duck tail pocket comb is a collaboration with KENT, a brushmaker for the British Royal Family. One side of the comb is etched with a gold-foiled WTAPS’ logo next to the words “Duck Tail,” while the obverse side sees the words “KENT,” “Sawcut 2T” and “Hand Made.” As the latter labels notes, each piece is handmade and comes with relatively short “Sawcut” teeth that work well with slicked-back hair. As a final note, the comb comes with a marbly tortoiseshell pattern, embracing a classic look and feel.
The WTAPS Hair Grease and Duck Tail Pocket Comb are currently available at WTAPS’ website for $21 USD and $28 USD, respectively.
Most recently, WTAPS has channeled rugged army surplus designs for SS20 “MILL” (UNIFORMS).
