Wiz Khalifa & Tyga Join for New "Contact" Single
The two rappers trade verses over a sleek beat.
Two weeks ago, Wiz Khalifa released his jazz-infused cut “Bammer” with Mustard after kicking off 2020 with his 7-track EP It’s Only Weed Bro. Now the rapper has teamed up with Tyga for an unexpected single, titled “Contact.” Over Ronny J’s production, the pair connect over money, weed and women. The track begins with a run of high-pitched instrumentals before Tyga comes in over a sleek beat.
“Knew she was the one soon as she opened her mouth/Heard you from the West but built like you from the South…” Wiz raps. “A hundred milly in the bank, I just made it last year/Hit it then I’m gone don’t let you get attached.” Unlike Wiz’s smooth “Bammer” track that used a sample of Marvin Gaye’s “Intro Theme” on loop throughout, “Contact” departs from the previous track’s soul-infused instrumentals, focusing instead on a modern beat and catchy verses.
After dropping these two recent tracks, Wiz may be getting ready for an album release in the near future. In the meantime, check out “Contact” for yourself.
