Nike Unveils Upcoming UNDEFEATED x Air Max 90 Collab
Centered around a retro-futurist outlook.

Coming together once again, Nike has tapped UNDEFEATED for yet another take on the Air Max 90. Building on their storied collaborative relationship, the latest team-up reimagines the classic model with a retro-futurist outlook.
Drawing from the ’90s New York street scene’s adoption of technical outdoor gear, the upper of the Air Max 90 has been stripped down and reinterpreted with an array of materials. Coming in two distinct colorways, the shoe utilizes a mix of nubuck leather and hairy suede paired with translucent overlays and technical mesh. The mix also sees the paneling, decorative details and padding restructured for a sleeker look. Elements added on the shoe include a heel pull tab and tongue lacing reminiscent of the Nike Vomero 5.
From the imagery released by Nike, it looks as though we can expect a full apparel capsule to accompany the release of the shoes. The “Black” colorway of the UNDEFEATED x Nike Air Max 90 is set to release March 14 at UNDEFEATED stores, followed by a wider release on Nike SNKRS March 19. The accompanying “Blue” colorway will arrive March 26 as part of Air Max Day celebrations.
