2Pac's 'Me Against The World' Receives 25th Anniversary 2LP Vinyl Reissue
Dropping alongside special merchandise for the album’s silver anniversary.
Amaru Entertainment and Interscope are celebrating the 25th anniversary of 2Pac‘s Me Against The World with a special 180-gram 2LP vinyl reissue. The LP release accompanies the previously announced ’90s hip-hop merchandise from the Tupac Shakur estate, also dropped in accordance to the album’s silver anniversary.
Often considered as the rapper’s magnum opus, Me Against The World was originally released on March 14, 1995 and earned him two GRAMMY nominations the following year, namely Best Rap Album and Best Rap Solo Performance for “Dear Mama.” The LP became Pac’s first No. 1 and also made him the first artist to receive a chart-topping album while serving a prison sentence, with the album selling over 3 million copies in the United States alone.
The 180-gram 2LP vinyl reissue of Tupac’s Me Against The World is available for purchase now at Universal Music Japan.
Elsewhere in music, Coachella 2020 will reportedly see a six-month postponement due to the Coronavirus.
