Queen Latifah Stars in Quibi's Murder-Mystery 'When the Streetlights Go On'
A film set to debut in 10 different installments.
Quibi is set to arrive in April, and one of the first movies the new short-form streaming service will offer is When the Streetlights Go On. The show is set in the 1990s and follows the aftermath of a beautiful young girl’s murder in a suburban community. “The victim’s sister and her high school peers must struggle to find a sense of normalcy while coming of age in the midst of the murder investigation,” the official plot synopsis concludes.
When The Streetlights Go On will serve as one of Quibi’s “Movies in Chapters” which streams films in increments of 7 to 10 minutes. The movie stars Queen Latifah, Chosen Jacobs, Sophie Thatcher, Tony Hale and more.
When the Streetlights Go On will debut on April 6 alongside the launch of Quibi in 10 different installments.
In other entertainment news, Drake and Future will executive produce a new series for Quibi.
