mita and Reebok have teamed up for a vibrant take on the Zig Kinetica dubbed “Tokyo City Lights.” Inspired by the vivid glowing lights that go up around Japan’s capital city as the sun goes down, these bright and bold Zig Kineticas provide a look that’s impossible to ignore.
Sublimely swathed in standout “Solar Orange” shades, the upper offers an artfully textured synthetic mesh construction with tonal Vector graphics on the heel, midfoot clip, tongue and toe bumper. Two strips of fabric run up the throat for technical texture, and added heel tabs make for easy entry. mita’s signature chain-link fence print can be seen on the insoles, alongside a graphic that states “Tokyo Kai,” slang for “Tokyo Custom Made.”
Zig midsoles dazzle in the dark, glowing brightly in low-light conditions. They also shine from a tech standpoint, combining Floatride Fuel, a Zig Energy Shell and Zig Energy Bands for a ride that’s sturdy and supportive. Shaped heel pieces and orange rubber outsoles complete the look.
The mita x Reebok Zig Kinetica “Tokyo City Lights” will release on the mita webstore April 3, and is priced at ¥12,000 JPY (approximately $111 USD).
