Dave Chappelle, Jerry Seinfeld and More to Headline 'Netflix Is a Joke' Festival
Partnering with Comedy Gives Back.
Netflix has announced a weeklong comedy festival to Los Angeles called Netflix Is a Joke Fest. The event will feature acts such as Dave Chappelle, David Letterman, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Amy Schumer, Bill Burr and Kevin Hart. Pretty much any comedian who has had a special or television featured on the streaming service.
The festival will is set to place overs 20 venues in Los Angeles, including the Hollywood Bowl, Greek Theatre, Hollywood Palladium, The Largo and more located around the general Hollywood area.
Netflix will partner with a nonprofit organization called Comedy Gives Back, whose mission is to create a safety net for comedians in need with mental health, medical and financial crisis support,
Homage will also be paid to late greats such as George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Joan Rivers, and Robin Williams.
Tickets for the festival will go on sale Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. PT. with the festival set to run April 27 to May 3.
