Lacoste Evokes Spirit of Sporting Elite With Elegant FW20 Collection
Designed for leisure or play.

Lacoste has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2020 collection with a runway show at the Tennis Club de Paris. Creative Director Louise Trotter gives sportif style a fresh take, imbuing future classics with Lacoste’s timeless French heritage. Designed for elegance and performance, the collection exudes a relaxed, athletic ease with a lively color palette that evokes memories of weekend tournaments, friendly matches and the off-duty uniforms of the sporting elite.
For FW20, Lacoste revisits protective outerwear: trench, duffel, car coat and hooded vareuse anorak are paired with soft alpaca, checked double face piped with leather, bonded jersey neoprene and thermal topstiching. Tailored sports blazers come with matching trousers, while tracksuits arrive in vibrant colorways. Gingham, checker and argyle prints are seen throughout.
Elsewhere, boxy polo styles sport chunky knit collars, Lacoste crocodile peeks out from jacket linings and knitwear feature colorblocked prints. First seen on the FW20 runway show was the original L1212 polo, designed by René Lacoste, elevated in a double-knit mercerized cotton. Rounding off the collection are 1980s T-Clip sneakers updated in pastel shades, golf lanyards and caddy bags.

In contrast, WTAPS has released an expansive lineup of military and workwear-inspired staples for Spring/Summer 2020.
