HBO's 'The Third Day' Trailer Has Jude Law Trapped on a Creepy British Island
With many drawing comparisons to A24’s ‘Midsommar.’
HBO has debuted a new trailer for its upcoming six-episode limited series The Third Day starring Jude Law and Naomie Harris. The show will feature two three-episode titled “Summer” and “Winter,” respectively, with the first group of episodes residing during “Summer.”
Jude Law will star in this half of the show as Sam, a man who is drawn to a mysterious rural island in Britain, where he encounters a group of islanders hell-bent on preserving their creepy traditions. “Winter” will star Naomie Harris as Helen, a strong-willed character looking for answers on the island, but arrives in the middle of fractious battle to decide the island’s fate. Many compare the premise and setting of the limited series to A24’s Midsommar. The series also stars Katherine Waterston, Emily Watson, and Paddy Considine.
