FUTUR & Mizuno Combine on Retro-Tinged GV87 Runner
Available in “White/Turquoise” and “Black/Red.”
Parisian imprint FUTUR and Mizuno come together once again for the release of their collaborative GV87, appearing in the colorways “White/Turquoise” and “Black/Red.”
The duo follows on from their line of running gear and Wave Prophecy sneakers that released late last year, this time around delivering more traditional shoes that predate the aforementioned Wave technology that propelled Mizuno to fame in the running world.
FUTUR and Mizuno’s GV87 features the archived Air Genova technology, providing cushioning and stability in the midsole. The pairs are made from suede, leather and mesh, sporting numerous nods to the collaborative input with a FUTUR tag at the medial-side rear-quarter, a dual-branded tongue tag, and an embroidered “Runbird” logo on the forefoot.
More co-branding can be found on the insole, while the rest of the silhouette is left clean and minimal, with tonal laces and light color-blocking on the sole unit rounding out each pair.
Take a look at the FUTUR x Mizuno GV867 in “White/Turquoise” and “Black/Red” in the gallery above. The collaborative pairs will release at stockists such as Hanon on March 13 for $129 USD each.
