Deb Never Backyard Wrestles in New Music Video for Kenny Beats-Produced "Stone Cold"
Deb kicks off her tour in support of Mura Masa this April.
Deb Never has been a staple in the Los Angeles beat scene for quite some time, first as a session guitarist then as a shining star as the WEDIDIT collective after teaming up with members D33J and Shlohmo. With her latest effort, Deb enlists super-producer and internet phenomenon Kenny Beats for a “Stone Cold” Steve Austin homage where she takes over a backyard amateur wrestling match in a new visual directed by Augustin Vita.
“Stone Cold” is a smooth offering that adds some 90s nostalgia with Deb’s laid back sing-songy flow and comedic performance throughout. It’s an ode to toxic masculinity and relationship distance as she sings, “Stone cold, Steve Austin/ Desperate for attention/ He’s slammin’ bodies left and right, just to prove a point/ That he’s the strongest man alive, not a lonely boy, yeah, yeah.” The focus may immediately fall on Deb’s incredible biceps, but it should be on her comfortable charisma. Stay tuned for more from her in the near future.

She’s also embarking on a Spring 2020 tour in support of friend Mura Masa, starting April 15 in Los Angeles and running through May 9 with a final show in Brooklyn, New York.
