BMW Joins Italian Company 3T for Custom Exploro 3T Carbon Bike
Combining the best of performance and aesthetics.
Just in time for the warmer months, German automaker BMW has partnered with Italian bicycle manufacturer 3T for a pair of high-performance urban gravel bikes.
The new collaborative release is based on the bike maker’s massively popular Exploro model. Carrying a lightweight, aerodynamic carbon frame, the bike boasts the lightest carbon aero cranks in the world. Two Fulcrum alloy wheels work in tandem with resistible Schwalbe One Speed tires to provide ample grip and speed no matter the conditions, complimented only by the Shimano GRX groupset. Finishing off the blue or gray model is an exclusive Brooks leather saddle and matching leather grips.
“3T was a natural choice for us, as 3T’s Exploro model is the best gravel bike available combining performance, luxury and cycling pleasure to our customers”, says Gaston Streiger, Head of BMW Lifestyle division. Co-owner and CEO of 3TRené Wiertz added: “We are extremely proud that BMW selected 3T to partner exclusively on the creation of the special 3T FOR BMW bike. BMW delivers ‘sheer driving pleasure’ to customers and with the 3T FOR BMW bike, we aim to deliver the same all road biking experience.”
For those interested, both colors of the Exploro BMW Edition is now available over on 3T’s website, retailing for €5,500 EUR, or roughly $6,064 USD.
Elsewhere in the automotive world, a rare 1966 Ferrari 275 GTS is currently up for sale.
