KAPITAL Unveils Boxy Cream-Colored Smiley Hoodies
Made with heavy-weight fleece.
KAPITAL has just dropped two cream-colored hoodies from its expansive Spring/Summer 2020 lineup. Both pieces are emblazoned with the Japanese label’s recurring smiley motif, atop oversized silhouettes. This release follows KAPITAL’s bandana-clad patchwork beach bum bags from last week.
The hoodies come in either a clean ivory or light coffee-toned palette, constructed with a wide, boxy fit using heavy-weight terry fleece cotton. At the center is a large contrasting yellow Smiley print, characterized by casually hand-drawn lines. The motif’s eyes are placed over a set of thick flat drawstrings, painting two pairs instead of one — meant to depict a set of raindrops. As a finishing note, the silhouette sports ribbed panels at the cuffs, hemline and waist, adding some structure to the hoodie’s loose fit.
