BEAMS and Clarks Reunite for GORE-TEX Equipped Wallabee Lows
“Beige” and “Black” styles, complete with thick Vibram soles.
Japan’s BEAMS and Clarks have reunited for a duo of GORE-TEX equipped takes on the Wallabee Low. An apt follow-up to the duo’s 2018 and 2019 Wallabee collaborations, each pair elevates the Wallabee’s signature style with premium materials, modified midsoles, and crisp accents.
First up is a “Beige” colorway. Constructed of a soft tan suede, it presents an earthy look that’s perfect for spring. Next is a more stark “Black,” which uses a supple black tumbled leather for a slightly more rugged aesthetic. Although the base material may differ between the duo of styles, each is also lined with weatherproof GORE-TEX to combat inclement spring weather — a detail noted by way of a small hangtag on the lateral heel.
Modifications continue on the midsole as well, which discards its normal flexible crepe for a sturdy Vibram Christo build that’s acknowledged by a signature yellow badge on the outsole. Tonal laces are threaded through the minimal eyestays, and both pairs are completed by co-branded leather footbeds.
The BEAMS x Clarks Wallabee Low “Beige” and “Black” are both available for pre-order on the BEAMS webstore, with a tax-included price of ¥30,800 JPY (approximately $298 USD). Delivery is scheduled to commence in late April.
