ASICS' Metaride Receives Sleek Triple Black Iteration
Equipped with an articulated GUIDESOLE.
Following its collaboration with architect Kengo Kuma for a woven Metaride back in November, ASICS is back with a new spin on the runner. This time around, the Japanese footwear company has delivered a sleek triple black iteration.
Though a large majority of the sneakers are dominated by a tonal black design, the shoes are constructed in a dynamic mix of materials, putting an emphasis on textural contrast. “ASICS” branding is placed at the top of the shoe on a thin rubber patch set over a bed of mesh. From the upper heel to the toecap is an intricately woven knit fabric that ensures optimal fit while offering both lightness and breathability. ASICS’ side stripes logo is emblazoned at the body, while the heel comes with reinforced GEL support for added stability. All of these features sit above an articulate GUIDESOLE that’s equipped with FLYTEFOAM Propel technology, engineered to reduce ankle flexion for longer runs.
The triple black ASICS Metaride sneakers are currently available at LUISAVIAROMA’s website for a $280 USD.
