Nike Unveils the Air Max 97 "Gold Medal" Ahead of 2020 Olympics
Dressed head-to-toe in the regal color.

With the 2020 Tokyo Olympics just a few months away, sportswear giant Nike is readying a special Air Max 97 “Gold Medal” silhouette dressed head-to-toe in the regal colorway.
From its signature wave panel constructed upper down to its misole and outsole, the metallic gold palette shines prominently, giving off a truly victorious vibe. Additionally, the model’s upper is fashioned from gold mesh and leather, while reflective 3M accents are seen throughout. A slight hit of black trim can be seen appearing through the collar, while hits of ribbon red can be seen on the heel pull and underfoot Swoosh. Finally, Swoosh branding is embossed on the mid panels and tongues.
In addition to the forthcoming Air Max 97 “Gold Medal” iteration, Nike unveiled a special five-pack of Olympic Ring-coloured Air Max 97s just last week. So far no official release date for the AM97 “Gold Medal” has been shared as of yet, but keep it locked here for details when they arise. The sneaker is expected to release at select Nike stockists and Nike’s online store, as well as retailers such as StockX.
