HUF Pays Homage to 2002 Origins With Throwback SS20 Collection
Launching alongside the brand’s new design-driven NONSTANDARD capsule.
Last year, HUF teamed up with New York-based artist Phil Frost for a range of graffiti-style apparel and accessories. This season, the brand takes it back to 2002 — the year HUF started — to pay homage to its early beginnings with throwback graphics, motifs and slogans.
HUF is debuting its NONSTANDARD capsule collection alongside its SS20 range of heritage-inspired pieces. The brand’s most design-driven products to date, the capsule is comprised of contemporary silhouettes and elevated cuts. Leading the collection is a striking all-over leopard print jacket with a taped-seam nylon shell and water repellent finish.
Other highlights include the La Haine Trench Jacket with an intricate rose design on its back, a cozy quarter zip fleece jacket and a matching “Aloha Patchwork” shirt and pant set. Vibrant colors inform the collection, from a “Hot Lime” tee with floral detailing to an “Olympian Blue” vest updated with mesh panels. Embroidered hoodies, printed collared shirts and graphic long sleeves round out the SS20 range.
The first drop of Spring/Summer 2020 will release alongside the NONSTANDARD capsule starting February 13 on HUF’s website and at its flagship locations. Each style of the NONSTANDARD collection will be limited to 150 pieces.
