Gallant & 6LACK Share "Sweet Insomnia" Visual
Revisiting his October 2019 record of the same name.
Gallant is revisiting his October 2019 record Sweet Insomnia with an accompanying music video for the title track featuring 6LACK. Directed by Cameron Dean, the visual follows the soothing and mesmerizing tone of the single, seeing the two in pink, orange and blue-tinged backgrounds, along with entrancing backdrops that utilize a variety of sets and lights.
In a previous interview, Gallant explained how he arrived at the sound of Sweet Insomnia, “I feel like I’ve done three different albums with three different palettes before this one.” He continues, “Going back in eight-month increments, I saw the different vibes that I was messing with, but they were all trying to get to the same idea. That’s a process I never had the opportunity to go through before.”
“Instead of being so critical of myself,” he adds, “I’m exploring more sides of what I’ve wanted to say musically. And for the first time, I think, people will actually see me.”
