If there’s one ASICS silhouette that you should be keeping on your radar this year, it’s the reissued GEL-1090. Initially released in 2004, the archival dad sneaker was revived late last year by the Japanese shoe manufacturer, prompting a variety of lush general release colorways as well as the recently revealed collaboration alongside ROKH. Further bolstering the shoe, ASICS has now returned with a head-turning “Gray/PRSV” colorway featuring contrasting hits of “Green Gecko.”
The shoe’s upper and vamp is mainly constructed of gray mesh, with the brand’s classic cage system slightly contrasting in darker tones and 3M hits. This is met by synthetic leathers in black that run throughout the shoe’s toe and heel regions, whereby the brand’s iconic “Green Gecko” can be found accented throughout. Various branding hits can be found embroidered at the heel and tongue’s logos, with more monochromatic logos found debossed at the lateral heel and toebox.
