This Nike Dunk Low Was Made For EKIN Employees Only
Peep the EKIN branding on the heels, toe boxes and shoe boxes.
As a token of appreciation for its EKIN employees, Nike has crafted a special Dunk Low colorway to cap off what has been a rather overwhelming 2020.
For context, EKIN (Nike backwards) employees are essentially the Swoosh’s product savants of the world. It is their duty to be storytelling experts and assist in educating retailers and consumers about the products and the brand.
Looks-wise, this extremely rare Dunk is somewhat understated, but features striking details and vibrant pops of color. Uppers are constructed with the traditional leather materials, and come swathed with a grey-to-black gradience from toe to heel which is sort of reminiscent of the Nike SB Dunk Low “Lunar Eclipse (West)” that dropped back in 2006. Nike box-esque orange accents are distributed to the tongues and primary Swooshes, as well as on the heel branding and toe box hits, the latter of which feature “EKIN” insignias.
Inside the shoes, the reverse side of the tongues spell out “You are no longer uninformed” to nod to the employee’s aforementioned job description, and the insoles are adorned with a collage of global city icons.
These Nike Dunks won’t be releasing to the public unfortunately, but check out a closer look here above.
Elsewhere in footwear news, the Nike LeBron 18 “X-Mas in LA” is dropping on December 30.
