twenty one pilots‘ “Level of Concern” has officially been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest music video of all time — playing at over 4,264 hours.
“Level of Concern” clocked in at a total of 177 days, 16 hours, 10 minutes and 25 seconds, running from June 21 to December 16 on YouTube. The duo originally released the single in April 2020, but two months later, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun set out to break this record. They invited fans to create their own music videos for the song, and it became a looping livestream on YouTube that would play a different music video every time the song would start again.
The previous record holder was Pharrell‘s 24-hour music video for “Happy,” which saw new groups of people dancing to the 2013 hit whenever the song would start again.
