HAVEN and Viberg Reunite for Blacked-Out Canadian-Made Footwear
Lush Horween leather informs a sleek Officer Derby and Service Boot.
With a pair of special seasonal sneakers already under its belt, HAVEN has launched another round of cold weather kicks, serving up something a little more sophisticated. The Canadian retailer has linked with Vancouver bootsmiths Viberg for a duo of bespoke shoes enhanced to HAVEN’s specifications and no less sleek than its in-house apparel line.
A Service Boot and Officer Derby have been imagined in all-black configurations, bolstered by some thoughtful touches. Notably, the Service Boot now sports a side zip on the medial face and both the Boot and Derby are attached to hefty Vibram 1276 Sierra sole units by Viberg’s utilitarian 2030 last. This grippy Viberg sole is preferred by outdoor and military personnel for its heightened stability, though a hidden EVA foam midsole grants it additional comfort in this context.
Viberg’s famed hands-on craft ensures that each pair of black, Horween Chromexcel leather boots is finished to exacting quality, complete with perfectly even finishes and a weatherproof outer layer. Its Goodyear welting further protects shoes — and the wearer’s foot — from inclement weather.

Most recently, Viberg joined forces with its pals at Fluevog for a boxing-inspired boot.
