Canada Goose's Signature Outerwear Takes Center Stage With "The Icons" Collections
Two special drops celebrate the Snow Mantra Parka, Chilliwack Bomber and Freestyle Vest.
The winterwear experts at Canada Goose have kicked off cold weather season with Concepts and sacai collaborations and they’re only just getting started. Two special capsules are arriving just in time for the big chill as part of the brand’s new “The Icons” range, which emphasizes the Toronto brand’s signature layering pieces.
Both “X-Ray” and “Northern Lights” offer elevated takes on the Snow Mantra Parka, Chilliwack Bomber and Freestyle Vest, a trio of fan-favorite silhouettes that stay true to the label’s legacy of crafting no-nonsense seasonal outerwear. “Northern Lights” is the flashier of the two drops, yielding colorful shades inspired by the auroras that grace the northern hemisphere’s skies; each garment is appropriately realized in striking shades of Summit Pink, Aurora Green, Azurite Blue, Pacific Blue, Monarch Orange or Borealis Yellow. Though they’re all Arctic-ready, the durable items are all crafted to be lightweight and breathable so as to transition easily from unforgiving mountaintops to city streets.
Meanwhile, “X-Ray” comprises a series of monochrome, high-tech spins on the staple silhouettes, informed by transparent Silverbirch tones. The focus here is on the function and craft that informs each Canada Goose design by exposing the innards and even printing the production codes atop each coat, jacket and vest. Each piece takes on a sci-fi touch that strays from Canada Goose’s usual utilitarian bent.
Mytheresa will exclusively launch Canada Goose’s The Icons “X-Ray” collection November 25th; two days later it arrives on Canada Goose’s website, its retail locations and stores like Concepts, CNTRBND and GR8. On Deceomber 12, apparel from The Icons “Northern Lights” launches at stores like Mytheresa and FOUR.
