First up is the Superstar ADV, which is served in “Core Black/Scarlet/Gold Metallic.” The black appears across the sneaker’s suede upper, while “Scarlet” and gold have been used to decorate the shoe with details. For example, the heel features an upside-down Trefoil logo joined by Thrasher branding, while the tongue is dressed with a webbing stripe complete with gold-toned dual branding.
The same red-and-gold design is found on the insole, which is accompanied by a full leather lining. Rounding out the shoe is its shell toe and sole unit that have been optimized for skating in.
Joining the Superstar ADV is Thrasher’s take on Tyshawn Jones’ signature adidas shoe. Tyshawn Jones was named Thrasher Magazine‘s Skater of the Year back in 2018, so the collaboration is a natural fit for the two. It sports an upper made from “Cloud White” suede and also features “Scarlet/Gold Metallic” details, one more gracing the tongue and the same molded adiPRENE sockliner that’s found in the Superstar ADV.
Elsewhere, the Tyshawn features a flipped and co-branded adidas Trefoil logo on the lateral mid-panel, as well as an abrasion-resistant adiTUFF toe, a well-treaded outsole, and a padded collar to make it a high-performing skate sneaker.
The Thrasher x adidas Originals Superstar ADV retails for £89.95 GBP (approx. $120 USD) while the Tyshawn retails for £84.95 GBP (approx. $113 USD). Both are set to drop on adidas’ website on November 28.
In other news, adidas has a new 4D runner coming out very soon.
