Tiffany & Co. and Elsa Peretti Update Timeless Bone Cuff for 50th Anniversary
The Dover Street Market-exclusive yields sensual, hand-sculpted shapes.
With its Louis Vuitton merger all but complete, Tiffany & Co. has turned its attention to an engagement that’s less pressing but no less important in the scope of the company’s history. Tiffany’s transcendent Bone cuff is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2020 and the luxury label has enlisted its creator, Elsa Peretti, to put her elegant touch to work remastering the timeless accessory in an exclusive capsule for Dover Street Market.
A quintet of thoughtful styles transform the Bone cuff from admirable antique into covetable contemporary essential, offered in glistening onyx black and sterling silver alike. Peretti first designed the Bone cuff in 1970, properly introducing it with her first Tiffany collection four years later.
Equally inspired by Gaudi’s Barcelonan architecture and bones uncovered in Rome’s Capuchin Crypt, Peretti shaped a simple bangle into a gracefully oversized statement piece, realized here for the first time with an inset piece of carved Snowflake Obsidian and in both large and smaller sizes.
All five different Tiffany & Co. bone cuff styles launch in-store and online at all Dover Street Market locations November 24 and will be available until January 15, 2021, with prices ranging from $450 USD to $2,700 USD.
Most recently, Dover Street Market launched an apparel capsule aimed at alleviating student debt.
