fragment design and New Era Release Monochromatic Headwear Capsule
Dad hats, fitted caps and beanies with signature Fragment branding.

Fresh off its latest sweater collection with John Smedley, Hiroshi Fujiwara‘s fragment design has teamed with New Era for a monochromatic headwear capsule. Featuring fitted caps, dad hats, beanies and more, the offerings boast a wealth of fragment’s signature graphics, most — but not all — of which are applied tonally.
These familiar embellishments range from large lightning bolt and FRGMNT spell out graphics on low-profile hats and mesh truckers to a “fragmentdesign” hit on another dad hat and a varsity-style “FRG” graphic on the fitted hat. The knit beanie supplies a patch with technical text on its front, and a traditional work cap completes the offerings with a signature encircled lightning bolt hit on its side. The offerings continue New Era’s celebration of its 100th anniversary, following up a wealth of collaborations with entities like Palace, Yohji Yamamoto, Awake and Helmut Lang.
Only available in Asia, the fragment design x New Era headwear collection’s prices range from ¥5940 JPY (approximately $57 USD) for the knit beanie to ¥9900 JPY (approximately $95 USD) for the 5950 fitted hat.
