Official Look at the Air Jordan 8 "Burgundy"

First premiered as part of Jordan Brand‘s Holiday 2020 retro collection, the Air Jordan 8 “Burgundy” is now set for its retail release. Bringing a primary accent color that’s richly steeped in Air Jordan heritage — thanks to famed models like the Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux” — to Michael Jordan‘s 8th signature sneaker, the “Burgundy” is a crisp-yet-detail-packed addition to the Air Jordan 8’s lineage.

Uppers are split between two main materials: white leather and soft gray suede. The former appears on the toebox, midfoot and familiar criss-crossing collar straps while the latter is used for a large overlay that wraps around the heel and comes to rest on the collar. Touches of black are present as well, thanks to high-gloss patent leather on the Velcro strap system and the neoprene tongue.

Signature “Burgundy” details then appear via the brushstroke-style pattern that graces the plastic overlays on lateral and medial sides alike. There’s also dashes of burgundy present on the aforementioned straps’ fit system and the bold chenelle tongue patch, which blends it with black and bright blue. Down below, gray and burgundy midsoles work with white outsoles to round off the look.

Priced at $190 USD, the Air Jordan 8 “Burgundy” is set to release December 4 via Nike SNKRS and retailers like Foot Locker. It’s a women’s style, but will be available in an extended size run.
