Primitive and New Balance Numeric Announce Tan-Toned 574 Collaboration
With a video clip starring pro skater Tiago Lemos.

Paul Rodriguez‘s Primitive and New Balance Numeric have announced a tan-toned, skate-ready 574 collaboration. Following up a crisp co-crafted 212, the two’s latest effort brings wheat tones and a bolstered build to one of New Balance‘s most famous running-turned-lifestyle silhouettes.
Uppers place thick suede overlays across a reinforced mesh base, almost all of which is done up in wheat/tan tones. Rich yellow-gold and smoky black get into the mix as well, appearing on the heels and combining on the midfoot’s signature N logo. A black Primitive spellout is embroidered on the lateral mudguard and stamped on the leather heel tab. Tongues are slightly thicker than usual and boast co-branded detailing, with insoles taking on a metallic gold shade and repeating print.
Though the top is mostly familiar, the midsole makes several changes necessitated by skateboarding’s wear and tear. Gone is the standard thin foam construction, replaced by a hard black rubber shell around a soft black foam center with gold speckles. Outsoles have been modified as well, taking on a more rigid traction pattern to allow for enhanced control during flip tricks and grinds.
Debuted in a video clip starring Primitive team member Tiago Lemos, the Primitive x New Balance Numeric 574 is set to debut in the coming weeks. A retail price has yet to be announced.
Elsewhere in the world of New Balance, the 550 is returning in two in-line styles.
