RIMOWA Adds New "Matte Black" Colorway to Classic Line
While offering a colorful selection of custom handles.
RIMOWA has added a “Matte Black” colorway to its heritage-inspired Classic line. The German luggage company is also presenting a selection of customizable handles, dubbed “UNIQUE,” in new vibrant colors. This follows “Desert Rose” and “Cactus” iterations unveiled back in July.
Made with anodized aluminum, RIMOWA’s new “Matte Black” offers a sleek look to its Classic silhouettes. “Black is a universal color that transcends the seasons as an adaptable accompaniment to any travel ensemble,” notes RIMOWA. It comes with black leather handles, accompanied by contrasting silver-toned hardware, including the TSA-approved lock, and a stageless telescopic handle (adjustable to any height) that’s been made entirely tonal. Whether it’s for the new colorway or the original silver-toned aluminum, the company is now allowing users to customize handles, luggage tags and wheels through its “RIMOWA UNIQUE” collection. From bright yellow to red to light blue, a wide range of colors are available for a variety of combinations.
RIMOWA Classic’s “Matte Black” will be available on RIMOWA’s website on October 15 in three different sizes — Cabin, Check-in L and Trunk — ranging from $1,075 – $1,650 USD. Head over to RIMOWA UNIQUE’s page to customize a Classic suitcase.
