Watch People Zipline Into a Life-Sized Godzilla's Mouth in Japan
The attraction opened just last weekend.
Last weekend, Japan‘s latest Godzilla attraction opened its doors to fans of the legendary monster, and now videos have surfaced showing people ziplining into the mouth of the life-sized replica of Godzilla.
As the videos — which you can view above and below — show, visitors first gear up on a platform on the opposing side from the giant statue, and once hooked onto the zipline, soar through the air into the gigantic 120-meter lizard king’s mouth, which is highlighted by blue lights that resemble his power beam while smoke machines add to the atmosphere.
For those who may have missed it, Japan has constructed a life-sized Godzilla head replica in Awaji Island’s Nijigen no Mori park, which just opened its doors to visitors this past Saturday. Aside from ziplining into the kaiju’s mouth, the attraction also includes a shooting arcade experience, a permanent Godzilla museum, and a cafe where you can enjoy a number of themed snacks and delicacies.
Admission will start from roughly $7 USD for children under the age of 7, around $20 USD for children under the age of 11, and approximately $35 USD for adults.
In other Japanese them park news, Universal Sutdios’ Super Nintendo World will open its doors next spring.
