Watch Netflix's Evocative Trailer for New Series 'Social Distance'
Shot entirely in quarantine.
Netflix has just unveiled the official trailer for an upcoming series titled Social Distance.
The show is made up of eight standalone episodes, centered around the lives of different people coping with quarantine. Creator of Orange Is The New Black Jenji Kohan and her team, writers and showrunners for Social Distance, led the project, virtually. In order to stay healthy and safe during lockdowns, the writers never met during the writing process — the show was directed remotely and the entire cast filmed themselves at home. According to Netflix’s press release, the series aims to “connect” viewers through a “deeply human” and “emotional experience,” highlighting “the power of the human spirit in the face of uncertainty and isolation.” Social Distance is slated to land on Netflix on October 15.
