Folk Channels Its Love For The Outdoors For FW20

Taking inspiration from the work of artist Sarah Morris.

Through a combination of design and nature, Folk draws inspiration from the work of American artist Sarah Morris for its Fall/Winter 2020 collection. Featuring minimal compositions, geometric shapes and staggered colors, her interest in evolving her visual, social and political connections has made the brand think deeper about the creation of this collection.

Aptly entitled ‘More Connection’, FW20 sees classic brand styles reimagined with new fabrics like velvet, checked corduroy and flannels, while shriting mixes cord with soft flannel and printed cotton. Fleeces and chunky knits complete the men’s offering, all arriving in an autumnal color palette of aubergine, “Brick” red and “Tobacco” brown.

FW20 also incorporates a women’s collection that combines weights and weaves of corduroy through tops and dresses, as well as a range of outerwear and layering pieces coming in the same autumnal colorway as menswear.

The Folk Fall/Winter 2020 collection is available now from the brand’s online webstore.

In other news, Gap has linked up with four artists for a UK Black History Month collaboration.
