Busta Rhymes Taps Kendrick Lamar for “Look Over Your Shoulder”
Lamar’s first feature of 2020 arrives on this single from ‘Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God.’
Kendrick Lamar joins up with Busta Rhymes for a verse on “Look Over Your Shoulder,” which will appear on Rhymes’s upcoming album Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God, dropping tomorrow, October 30. The track, which also samples Jackson 5’s “I’ll Be There,” makes Kendrick’s first album feature of the year.
This album will also be a return of sorts for Busta himself; his most recent album up to this point, The Return of the Dragon (The Abstract Went on Vacation), released in 2016. But Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God is already set to make quite the splash with appearances from Chris Rock, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Mariah Carey, and Anderson .Paak.
And the tail end of 2020 looks to be heating up for Kendrick. The rapper recently sparked rumors that his highly-anticipated fourth album could be on the way following the announcement of an exclusive global deal with Universal Music Publishing Group.
