New 'The Mandalorian' TV Spot Offers Closer Look at Season Two
Arriving to Disney+ October 30.
Two weeks ahead of the release for its highly-anticipated second season, the hit Star Wars series The Mandalorian has now released a new TV spot offering fans a closer look at what’s about to come.
Despite just being 30 seconds long, the clip shows new footage of Pedro Pascal‘s titular character fighting alongside his teammates, Gina Carano‘s Cara Dune and Carl Weathers‘ Greef Karga. The video also offers a glimpse of Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon wielding his enigmatic darksaber, as well as the fan-favorite baby Yoda journeying with the Mandalorian on a seafaring ship.
While the plot of the upcoming season has very much been kept under wraps, we do know that it’ll pick up directly where season one left off, and the show’s producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have both said that it’ll focus on opening up a bigger storyline in the Star Wars universe.
“The new season is about introducing a larger story in the world,” Favreau said. “The stories become less isolated, yet each episode has its own flavor, and hopefully we’re bringing a lot more scope to the show,” Filoni continued. “Everything gets bigger, the stakes get higher, but also the personal story between the Child and the Mandalorian develops in a way I think people will enjoy.”
Season two of The Mandalorian will arrive to Disney+ October 30.
Elsewhere in entertainment, Anya Taylor-Joy has been cast as a young Furiosa for the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road sequel.
