A Release Date Surfaces for the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5 "Sail"
After months of waiting.
Shortly after we got a look at the accompanying apparel, we now have a rumored release date for the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5 “Sail.” Courtesy of sneaker insiders, PY_RATES, is now noting that the highly-anticipated collaboration between Virgil Abloh and Nike/Jordan Brand is set to release later this once month.
Continuing the “Ghosting” design theme established by Virgil, the silhouette has been reimagined in a striking translucent off white TPE deconstruction. Marking the shoe is branding in the form of Jumpman marked 3M reflective tongues, upside-down “AIR JORDAN” patches, “23” marked at the heel, Nike Air motifs at the rear and classic logo motifs on the outsole. Additional detailing includes the usual Helvetica industrial text printing on the medial midfoot, “SHOELACES” emblazoned on the lace tips and a black iteration of Off-White™’s signature plastic zip-tie hangtag. Rounding up the design of the shoe is an off white midsole with bright red splashes paired with yellow-ed translucent rubber outsoles to simulate a worn look.
Reportedly priced at $225 USD, the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5 Retro SP “Sail” is rumored to release October 24 accompanied by an apparel range.
