adidas Originals continues its A-ZX series with its latest collaboration, tapping the Chinese tea drink company Hey Tea for a ZX 7000.

Standing in for “H” in the A-ZX series, Hey Tea completely reworks its ZX 7000 with iconography and colors synonymous with its range of beverages. Delivered in “Merlot/Rich Mauve/Clear Lilac,” the pair sports a predominantly pink-toned upper made from a technical woven mesh, providing light, dark, and pastel tones next to each other for a contrast that’s just like a milky tea.

One of the most notable additions to the ZX 7000 is on its toe, where you’ll find a marbled clear TPU cage overlaying the toe box and front quarter. In addition to this, there is also the Hey Tea logo on a clear marbled TPU tongue tab — with the same logo appearing on the dual-branded insole.

Elsewhere around the shoe, Hey Tea has added pink-to-white fading laces, pink eyelets, a tri-toned Torsion-equipped midsole with dripping milk-like graphics on it, a cream leather heel tab complete with ice cube graphics, 3M-equipped Three Stripe detailing on the sides, more 3M on the heel, a burgundy liner, and a black outsole.

Although this sounds busy, the Hey Tea x adidas Originals ZX 7000 is perhaps one of the most fun, creative, and cleanest pairs to drop in the A-ZX series to date. Take a closer look at the pair above, and cop the Hey Tea x adidas Originals ZX 7000 on October 16 through adidas’ website, where it will retail for £109.95 GBP (approx. $140 USD).
