Javicia Leslie Dons Her New 'Batwoman' Suit for CW
Season two will arrive January 2021.

News broke back in July that American actress Javicia Leslie would takeover the titular role of Batwoman following Ruby Rose’s departure after just one season of the CW series, and now the network has unveiled the freshly-designed suit for Leslie’s new character, Ryan Wilder.
The actress had shared a first look at her new outfit back in September, but it was just a headshot of her with the cowl and signature red hair. Now, CW has released full-body images of the Gotham hero, featuring a similar fully blacked-out suit with red accents by the crest on her chest, the utility belt, and her arm guards. According to Variety, the suit will debut on the third episode of the upcoming second season.
“I love the fact that Ryan is becoming her own Batwoman — it’s her style, her swag, and her moment,” Leslie said in a statement. “I felt it was important that viewers could tell by the silhouette that Batwoman was a Black girl. With the form-fitting suit and beautiful Afro, we definitely nailed it!”
“As Ryan embraces everything that makes her special, she adjusts the suit to fit her physically and figuratively,” added executive producer Caroline Dries. “This meant creating a new body design and new cowl that was undeniably a statement that screamed ‘powerful.’”
Batwoman‘s second season will arrive to CW in January, 2021.
Elsewhere in entertainment, Apple and Netflix are reportedly exploring a $600 million USD No Time to Die streaming deal.
