Converse Readies Its Classics for Winter With Holiday 2020 Utility Collection
Centered around the Chuck Taylor Storm Boot, Bosey MC GTX, Utility Fleece sweatshirt and more.
As we head into the year’s coldest months, Converse has presented its Holiday 2020 Utility collection. Bolstering seminal silhouettes like the Chuck Taylor All Star and Bosey MC with new boot-like embellishments, GORE-TEX linings and more, the Utility collection is designed to infuse heritage styles with a durable, adaptable dose of modern-day flair.
Leading things off is the Chuck Taylor Storm Boot, a silhouette that gained notoriety in past weeks when it debuted with a duo of A-COLD-WALL* collaborations. Constructed of waterproof nubuck and a lugged rubber outsole, the Storm Boot also boasts a micro fleece-equipped GORE-TEX lining. Next is the Utility All-Terrain Chuck Taylor All Star, essentially a high-cut Chuck with a beefed-up outsole and sturdy collar. Leaning even further into a traditional boot build, the Chuck Taylor All Star Lugged Winter updates a popular women’s style with leather construction, sherpa fleece and GORE-TEX linings, a lugged outsole and colorful top eyestays.
Moving to a different silhouette, the Bosey MC GTX offers a high cut and GORE-TEX construction, fully waterproof for the season’s most inclement days. Last but not least is a GORE-TEX lined Chuck Taylor All Star Hi, marking the third year in a row Converse and GORE-TEX have rehashed the century-old silhouette. Finalizing the offerings is the Converse Utility Fleece, a hybrid fleece jacket that can be zipped into matching hoodies, waterproof coats and more.
Select pieces from the collection are available on the Converse webstore now, with others releasing October 15 or later in November. Retail prices range from $70-$150 USD.
