adidas Consortium Unearths Hiking Archive for New Sahale X
Available in “Sand” or “Aqua.”

adidas Consortium is known for digging into adidas Originals‘ archives, and for its latest project, the special division has looked to the sportswear giant’s hiking history in order to create the new Sahale X.
Dropping in “Sand/Black” and “Aqua/Black,” the adidas Consortium Sahale X combines a number of archetype adidas Originals components and design elements that give the shoe a ’90s aesthetic. In fact, you’d be forgiven if you thought these shoes were completely original, given their design that looks as if they stepped right out of the factory over 20 years ago.
adidas Consortium achieves this retro look thanks to an upper made from mesh and Nubuck, segmenting areas with the use of color-blocking, 3M rubber piping, and other small details all around. The rear sports a gray rubber adidas-branded heel clip that’s connected to a purple or orange webbing tab on the “Sand” and “Aqua” pairs, respectively. adiPRENE technology in the extended midsole is noted on the medial side, while more webbing can be found running up the tongue alongside the two-toned rope laces that give the Sahale X its hiking edge.
Rounding out the pair is the adidas Originals EQT logo debossed into the tongue’s suede patch. Take a look at the adidas Consortium Sahale X in “Sand/Black” and “Aqua/Black” above, and pick up both pairs now from retailers such as Hanon. The sneaker costs £130 GBP (approx. $169 USD).
