Wales Bonner and adidas Originals continue their perennial partnership, planning to drop a range of new sneaker variants and an SS26 apparel collection. As it goes, the WB adidas Originals shoes stand out in unconventional makeups that elevate adidas’ sport-geared designs to a luxury level of materiality.
At $600 USD, the WB Karintha Basketry is the priciest pair in the collection, featuring a woven version of Wales Bonner’s original silhouette, first unveiled in 2025. After releasing the model first with traditional textile uppers and later releasing a sequined version, the British designer is taking it up another notch with basket-weave leather uppers, handcrafted in Brazil. With its artisanal tactility, traditional basket-weaving techniques across the Global South, as well as the luxury sensibilities of Bottega Veneta’s intrecciatto.
Additionally, the SS26 collection includes the WB Gazelle Snake, WB Gazelle Pony, and the WB Adizero Adios. Alongside the WB Karintha, the footwear range is riddled with Wales Bonner signatures, such as animal prints, leather textures, and tactile details, including contrast stitching. Wales Bonner tops the release with cobranded floral jerseys, retro track jackets in pink and white, and a brown Beckenbauer track pant.
The Spring/Summer 2026 adidas by Wales Bonner collection is available globally on 17 April at adidas.com, via Confirmed, and through select retailers.
