100 gecs Releases a New Music Video for "hand crushed by a mallet"
Tune in for some Halloween costume inspiration.
On Friday, 100 gecs released a new music video for the track “hand crushed by a mallet” off of the duo’s 2019 album 1000 gecs. The video finds Dylan Brady transformed into a The Mask-esque protagonist who is chased around his room by a massive human fly played by Laura Les. The concept for the video, shot entirely on an iPhone, is well-timed given other recent fly-related news and makes for a fun play on many of the tracks lyrics: “you circled me inside my room,” for instance.
The pair also recently released a visual for a remix of “hand crushed by a mallet” featuring Fall Out Boy off of 1000 Gecs and the Tree of Clues, a remix album for 1000 gecs released in July.
